Burnham’s Princess Theater launches creative workshops for 7-14 year olds

The Princess Theater in Burnham-On-Sea will be hosting creative summer activities for 7-14 year olds throughout August.

The Princess Street theater is set to run three fun workshops for 7-14 year olds on Mondays in August from 10am-4pm at £25. Sessions will include:

  • Monday 8: Musical Theater – Be a Westend star, join the theater tutors and create a showcase of a popular musical
  • Monday 15: Dance – Dance like your favorite popstar and choreograph an entire piece
  • Monday 22: Interim – Learn behind-the-scenes tips and tricks to look like your favorite stage and screen stars

The princess works with experienced tutors from the local theater company Re:ACT who will guide the children through the workshops, creating plays where they will have the chance to express themselves by singing, dancing or acting.

Beccy Armory of the Princess Theater says: “I am thrilled that we are presenting so much for children this summer. Theaters should offer children the chance to shine and engage.

“Theatre and performance is a great way to increase a child’s creativity, teamwork skills, awareness and give them the confidence to express themselves.”
