In gross tonnage, these behemoths are the five largest cruise liners on the high seas:

1. WONDER OF THE SEAS – ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Launched in 2022, the record-breaking vessel has a gross tonnage of 236,857 and is 362m (1,187.8ft) long and 64m (210ft) wide. With 2,867 cabins, it can carry 6,988 passengers at its maximum capacity.

2. SYMPHONY OF THE SEAS – ROYAL CARIBBEAN

The vessel, which debuted in 2018, weighs 228,081 gross tons and measures 361m (1,184.4ft) in length and 65.7m (215.5ft) in width. She can carry a maximum of 6,680 passengers in her 2,759 cabins.

3. HARMONY OF THE SEAS – ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Harmony of the Seas – which was launched in 2016 – has a gross tonnage of 226,963, a length of 362.12m (1,188ft) and a beam of 65.7m (215.5ft). Up to 6,687 passengers can travel on the ship in its 2,747 cabins.

4. OASIS OF THE SEAS – ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Fourth-placed Oasis, which first set sail in 2009, has a gross tonnage of 226,838. 198 feet). The ship’s 2,742 cabins can accommodate a maximum of 6,780 passengers.

5. ALLURE OF THE SEAS – ROYAL CARIBBEAN

This cruise ship, which debuted in 2010, has a gross tonnage of 225,282 and measures 360 m (1,180 ft) in length and 60.5 m (198 ft) in width. With 2,742 cabins, it can carry 6,780 passengers at maximum capacity.
